Sign up for the 2026 GBSA Friday Night Lights Flag Football is coming soon. Registration will open January 7th at 5am. There are separate boys and girls divisions for all age groups. The age groups are as follows: 8U (7/8 year), 10U (9/10 year), 12U (11/12 year) and 14U (13/14 year). This will be based on age as of September 1st. Five and six year old kids will not be allowed to play unless 8U doesn't fill up. As much as we want to get all kids playing, they will get to play in future years and we do not have enough field space with as many kids as we have playing. Many age groups will likely fill up quickly and go to a wait list. That is ok, if your child wants to play, sign up for the waitlist. There will be movement off the waitlist after coaches are finalized. Please be patient.
The season (practices and games) will be exclusively on Friday nights, starting on March 27th thru May 15. Everything happens on Friday nights at the Shoreline Turf/grass fields. Your child will have an assigned practice time immediately followed by a game.
Jersey size: Keep in mind that many parents report the jerseys “run large”. Available sizes typically are: YS/YM/YL/YXL/AM/AL/AXL/2XL. No adult small!!! Don’t order this size. Only order one size when you register for your child (yes some order two….). MOST kids will be in youth sizes….the adult sizes are generally large on the adults. Please be aware that if a size isn’t in stock, the system will typically choose a replacement jersey that is one size larger. Replacement gear cost $30 if you order the wrong size. Parents - please consider what other sports your kids are involved in and sign up for flag only if you can commit to the whole season. This is very popular and we left many kids out last year due to space limitations. I intentionally limit the team sizes to ensure the kids on the team actually are getting good playing time, however this hurts the team if multiple players are missing games. If your kid is in a travel sport that plays in the spring, I’d love for them to play flag too. However, please only sign up if you will be at all flag games. Participation in multiple sports is awesome and should be encouraged in our kids, I'm asking you to please honor that commitment to come to all the flag games if you do sign up.
